FAQ

What instructors ask us.

Do vocals sound distorted when I speed up?

No. Tempeo changes the speed without changing the pitch, from −15% to +15%. The singer keeps their voice; only the pace changes.

Can I use my Spotify or Apple Music tracks?

No. Those tracks are protected by their platforms and no app can change their tempo. Tempeo plays audio files you own (MP3, M4A, WAV) and, on iPhone, tracks purchased or synced to your library.

Will ads play during my class?

Never. In the free version, ads only appear between actions, when no music is playing. They are silent and never interrupt playback. The ad-free version removes them for a one-time €9.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your music and downloaded mixes are stored on your phone. You can teach your whole class in airplane mode.

Who handles music licensing for public performance?

For music you import, you or your gym do, just as today. Mixes sold by Tempeo come with a verified licence for use in classes.

Which languages will the app support?

French at launch, then English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish and Arabic.
